LTV Power Upgrade Package

Run your Leisure Travel Van's AC through the night on lithium.

Sleep cool with the generator off. Three Epoch 300Ah batteries and a Victron MultiPlus-II carry the roof AC overnight, and the alternator, the generator and the solar on the roof put charge back the next morning. How long the AC runs depends on how hot it is, your AC, where you set the thermostat and what else is on.

Complete packages $16,754 $15,495* installed.*Limited time only. Plus tax.

Built for many 2016 to 2024 Leisure Travel Van floorplans, including the Unity and the Wonder.

Leisure Travel Vans Unity coach parked at a Blue Ridge mountain overlook
Overnight AC 900Ah lithium Alternator + solar charging Whole-coach inverter

The factory electrical wasn't built for a hot night off the grid

You bought the LTV to get away from crowded campgrounds. Then the first hot night at a state park shows you what the factory electrical can do. The house bank is small. The inverter only feeds a few outlets. A full day of driving puts back less than you'd think. So the generator runs under your window at 2 AM, and the folks in the next site hear it too.

This package fixes all of that. Bigger bank, every outlet on the inverter, real charging while you drive, more solar on the roof, and the AC running quietly off the batteries while you sleep.

Factory LTV electrical vs. the Stream RV power upgrade

Typical factory setup With the power upgrade
House battery A smaller factory bank 900Ah of Epoch LiFePO4 (three 300Ah batteries)
Inverter coverage A few outlets on the inverter Every outlet in the coach, on a 3000VA Victron MultiPlus-II
Alternator charging Slow charge while you drive Two Victron Orion XS DC-DC chargers, 50A each
Solar A factory panel, if your coach has one 600W on the roof, 800W if the satellite dome comes off
Overnight AC Generator running Roof AC on the batteries

Factory setups vary by year and floorplan. We look at what your coach already has before we quote it.

What's in the package: Victron, Epoch and rooftop solar

Six parts, installed and wired together as one system in our Creedmoor shop. Complete packages $16,754 $15,495* installed.*Limited time only. Plus tax.

Victron MultiPlus-II inverter charger

Victron MultiPlus-II

Runs the whole coach's 120V side off the batteries, roof AC and microwave together, and charges the bank when you're plugged in. On a small generator or a tired campground pedestal, it adds battery power so you don't trip the breaker. Victron backs it with a 5-year warranty.

3000VA inverter/charger

Epoch Essential 300Ah lithium battery

Epoch LiFePO4 batteries

The bank that carries the AC through the night. Each battery warms its own cells before it charges, so the bank still takes a charge in freezing weather, and you can check charge level and temperature from your phone. Epoch backs them with an 11-year limited warranty.

Three 300Ah batteries, 900Ah total

Four solar panels on a Leisure Travel Wonder roof, 800W

Rooftop solar

Puts charge back in the bank every day the sun is out, parked or driving. It's silent, there's nothing to start or fuel, and it adds to what the alternator puts back on a travel day.

600W standard, 800W if the satellite dome comes off

Victron Orion XS 1400 DC-DC charger

Victron Orion XS 1400 DC-DC chargers

Charge hard off the alternator, so the miles you drive put real charge back in the bank. They work with today's smart alternators, only charge when the van is running, and shut off before they can run your starting battery down.

Two units, 50A each

House2Start 2A starting battery maintainer

House2Start

Keeps the starting battery charged from the house bank on its own, so small drains don't run it flat while the coach sits. No switch to flip, nothing to remember.

2A maintenance charger

WFCO WF-8930/50 RV distribution panel

Breaker panel re-wire

Every outlet works off the batteries, not just the few the factory put on the inverter. Unplug from shore power and the MultiPlus-II switches the coach to the batteries in under 20 milliseconds, so laptops and the TV keep running.

Running the RV AC on batteries overnight

1

Evening

Shut the generator off and set the thermostat. The MultiPlus-II runs the roof AC and the rest of the coach off the battery bank.

2

Overnight

The 900Ah Epoch bank carries the AC and whatever else is on. The generator stays off, and nobody gets up at 2 AM to restart it.

3

Morning

Drive, and the two Orion XS chargers put charge back from the alternator. The solar adds more while the sun is up. If it's cloudy and you're not driving far, run the generator or plug in and the MultiPlus-II charges the bank. Solar helps, but it won't refill a night of AC by itself.

High-efficiency rooftop RV air conditioner
Optional add-on

High-efficiency rooftop AC

A high-efficiency 15,000 BTU rooftop AC draws less power and runs quieter than a standard RV roof unit, so the same 900Ah goes further on a hot night. It has a built-in heat pump rated down to 23 degrees, so it takes the chill off on cool mornings too. We fit the same unit under a few brand names.

Non-ducted $2,000Ducted $3,500Installed, plus tax. Not part of the package price.

Ask for it on your quote.

Built around how you travel

Second shore charger

A second charger on the MultiPlus AC Out 2 circuit. It only runs when you're plugged in or the generator is on, and it fills the bank faster when it does.

Portable solar input

A plug for a portable panel. Park the coach in the shade and put the panel in the sun.

More battery capacity

Where your coach has the room, we add more lithium on top of the 900Ah.

Custom electrical

Battery monitoring and other electrical work, built around how you camp.

High-efficiency AC upgrade

Draws less power than a standard roof AC, so the 900Ah goes further on a hot night. Non-ducted $2,000, ducted $3,500 installed, plus tax.

LTV power upgrade questions

Can a Leisure Travel Van run the AC on batteries overnight?

Yes, with this package. The 900Ah Epoch bank and the 3000VA Victron MultiPlus-II run the roof AC through the night with the generator off. How long it runs depends on how hot it is, your AC, where you set the thermostat and what else is on.

What does the LTV power upgrade cost?

Complete packages are $16,754 installed, on sale for $15,495. Limited time only, plus tax. That covers the 600W roof. Your quote depends on your year and floorplan, what's already in the coach, and any add-ons you pick, like the 800W solar option or the high-efficiency AC upgrade (non-ducted $2,000, ducted $3,500 installed, plus tax).

Which Leisure Travel Van years and models does it fit?

Many 2016 to 2024 LTV floorplans, including the Unity and the Wonder. Send us your year and floorplan and we'll tell you if yours fits.

Does it work on a Tiffin?

Ask us about your Tiffin. Many have similar layouts, and we quote them too. Send us your year and model and we'll tell you what fits.

Do I keep my generator?

Yes. Nothing in the package takes it out. It becomes one more way to charge: if it's cloudy and you're not driving far, run the generator and the MultiPlus-II charges the bank.

Do I need a soft start for the AC?

Not with the MultiPlus-II. It starts the roof AC on its own. If your coach needs one, the high-efficiency AC can take a soft start.

Will two 50A chargers hurt my alternator?

No. Sprinters have carried a 250A alternator since the 2014 update, and the two Orion XS units draw well under half of it. We check your coach before we quote it.

How long is the coach in the shop?

We don't promise a timeline before we've seen the coach. It depends on your LTV, what's already in it and which add-ons you pick. Once it's in front of us, we'll tell you.

Does the satellite dome have to come off?

No. With the dome on, the roof takes 600W of solar, and that's what the package price covers. Take the dome off and there's room for 800W. We price that option on your quote.
