Working at Stream RV

What working here looks like.

Stream RV has been locally owned and operating in Creedmoor since 2016. We sell RVs, and we service all types of RVs and campers, not just the ones we sell. The work is a mix of customer repairs and reconditioning our own inventory, towables and motorhomes, older units and new ones.

How pay works

Pay is hourly W-2, and it goes up with experience and performance. We aim to keep a full 40-hour week through slow stretches, and when customer work dips, reconditioning our own inventory fills the schedule. You'll see your pay plan in writing before you accept an offer.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, days only

No nights and no regular weekends. You get your evenings back.

Location

Creedmoor, NC

On site at our shop, about 25 minutes from North Raleigh and 20 minutes from Durham.

Senior RV Technician

  • Full-time
  • Creedmoor, NC
  • Starts at $30/hr

The tech other techs come to. You take the hardest electrical diagnostics in the shop, handle slideouts, roofs and appliances, install advanced power systems, and help bring our newer techs along.

Monday to Friday, about 40 hours a week, days only. Plus a performance incentive on top of base pay.

What you'll do

  • Diagnose complex 12V DC and 120V AC faults involving converters, inverters, transfer switches, shore power, generators and intermittent wiring issues
  • Repair slideout and leveling systems, roofs, leaks, structural damage, appliances, propane systems, plumbing and cabinetry
  • Install and diagnose solar, lithium battery, inverter and advanced RV power systems
  • Complete customer repairs and inventory reconditioning on towables and motorhomes
  • Document your diagnostic process and completed repairs clearly on each work order
  • Teach, train and support other technicians when needed

What you bring

  • 7 or more years of hands-on RV repair, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong diagnostic ability on both 12V DC and 120V AC systems
  • Advanced multimeter skills, wiring diagram use, voltage-drop testing and intermittent-fault tracing
  • Broad competence across RV electrical, slideout, leveling, roof, structural, appliance, plumbing and propane systems
  • Ability to work independently, communicate progress clearly and make sound repair decisions
  • Strong organization, professional documentation, safe work habits and a valid driver's license
  • Willingness and ability to mentor developing technicians

Experience that's a plus

  • Class A motorhome repair
  • Generator diagnosis and repair
  • Solar, lithium and inverter installs, including Victron systems
  • Welding and fabrication
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Training or mentoring other techs
  • RVIA or RVTI certification

RV Technician

For a tech with a few years in who can handle the common jobs alone and wants to get better. You diagnose and repair electrical systems, service appliances, plumbing, roofs and slideouts, install solar and lithium, and work on customer coaches and our own inventory, towables and motorhomes alike.

Monday to Friday, about 40 hours a week, days only. Plus a performance incentive on top of base pay.

What you'll do

  • Install accessories, solar equipment, lithium batteries and inverters
  • Complete customer repairs and inventory reconditioning on towables and motorhomes
  • Document findings, tests, repairs, parts needs and work progress clearly

What you bring

  • 3 or more years of professional RV repair, or comparable experience in a related trade
  • Ability to complete common RV maintenance and repairs on your own
  • Working knowledge of 12V DC and 120V AC systems and safe multimeter use
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and organized work habits
  • Clear communication, teamwork, willingness to learn and a valid driver's license
  • Safe work habits, especially around propane and 120V electrical systems

Experience that's a plus
